i LOVE lichtenstein!!! he was part inspiration for the project... was going to come up with a jk rowling portrait in his style with a massive thought bubble from where harry was going to emerge!! it was going to be a mahoosive graffiti style piece (im loving banksy at the moment) but with some warhol stylee icons thrown in - like i was going to do an irn bru can with harry on it instead of a campbells soup tin. hah as per usual my head got carried away with ideas tho so my tutor kindly said i could use it as a 'working project'.
whew sorry for above spraff!! yeah i really do love the whole noo yoik scene circa warhol, lichtenstein etc... do you like basquiat as well?!? not such a massive fan of his but theres a book written on him by his ex going into his work & relationship with warhol & then people like madonna as well - crazy crazy lifestyle!! but so cool... the philosophy of andy warhol has been the only book ive read over & over this summer...
ahhh im such an art nerd, i was the only one who didnt fall asleep during art history lectures last year
