Hi, everybody! ("Hi, Kurosune!" I hope everyone got where that joke came from.)

So, where to begin?

Well. This weekend was absolutely absurd. To say the least. Let's start with the top thing on the list:

Mein hair before:

Mein hair afterwards:

I just want to say, to debunk a few stereotypes, that it was a totally straight, while male barber who gave me my new awesome haircut. Normally, I would only go to a black person who knew exactly what they were doing because it's no secret: black hair is very different. EVERYONE in the school (I went to a barbering school because I am le broke) was watching him and honestly taking bets to see how bad he would fuck up.

Which he DIDN'T. I can't wait wait to go back! (He was delicious!!!!)

So, now that all of the ugly damage is gone, I have to go back to my strict routine which includes deep conditioning, keeping it moisturized, wrapping my hair with a silk scarf when I sleep...

Oh, and to clear that up, because it does confuse people why I sleep with a silk scarf on my head, it's because again, black hair is fragile, and the roughness from the cotton pillows can help cause damage and breakage, so sleeping with a silk scarf (or on silk pillow cases) helps keep that from happening, and helps to maintain the style. Everyone, regardless of race, can do it, but I know a few people were like..."Why do you sleep with a scarf on your head?" However, I'd like to go on record saying YOU WILL NEVER SEE ME LEAVE THE HOUSE WITH A SCARF ON MY HEAD. That is just SO tacky to me.

Even when I was living in the dorms, if we had a fire alarm, I would reach for the scarf and snatch it off my head before even getting out of bed lol.

And here are said products to help me (minus the headscarf) maintain my hair:

Coconut oil, deep conditioner, and HAWAIIAN SILKY. This is the stuff of the GODS!!!!!!!!! And once my hair has recovered, then I can do the hairstyle I REALLY want to do. Remember? I was asking opinions on colors, but it's not what you think it is. wink Can't wait for that!

Anyhoo, on this domestic Sunday, I am preparing for the workweek. YUP. I said workweek. Because I...

FINALLY HAVE A JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's through my temp agency, doing receptionist work, and I'm not sure how long I'll be there for, but DAMMIT, I am going to try and stay there AT LEAST long enough for me to save up some money, which should be easy enough, because I'm making 10.28 an hour, and I work M-F, from 9am to 6pm. So, pray for me, everyone!!!

I did laundry today (GOD I HATE YOU, LAUNDRY), and I took myself to the grocery store for dinner tonight. On tonight's menu, we have:

Honey-curry baked chicken before:

And after:

Along with yummy bread pudding before:

And after:

I always like it sweet and soft, so instead of two cups of milk, like the recepie calls for, I always add one half cup of milk, and one full cup of French Vanilla Coffee creamer. It's SO delicious!!! And I always make a bloody mess of the kitchen while I'm at it.

And I was paying even less attention because I was listening to my "husband" sing to me as I was cooking (leading to an even bigger mess)--

(Oh, Gackt....marry me.)

But, fortunately, I had my own personal helper on mop duty:

We are still looking for a GREAT home for him, so if anyone is interested, please let me know!!! Moving on, I bought even more ice cream (that I totally DON'T need) :

...In preparation for even more ice cream cocacola floats and milkshakes!!! NOM!!!!!!!! Moreover, I've been highly addicted to this lately:

Like, if I could have them put it in an IV and attach it to my arm, I'd be golden. I LOVE Arizona. I hate the tea, believe it or not, but I love the fruit drinks. My faves are strawberry kiwi, watermelon, and fruit punch, and I have been CONSUMING these things.

And speaking of overindulging: FRIDAY WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got to meet so many awesome ladies, including Moxi, LaneyChantal, Pandie, and even our very own staff, Jessytai who is a total love! And joining us were Beezle and Muerta, and of course, Milloux! It was a grand ole time!

Just gonna summarize it all for everyone:

Pool party, got all war-painted for lasertag, was repeatedly accused of fraternizing with our (FINE) Asian rivals by Milloux (lmao, was not),guitarist from Marilyn Manson, Hamburger Mary's, INSANELY BAD SERVICE,delicious Hawaiian Burger, drag queens, ass-shaking contest, drinking, handsome strangers, Rainbow Room, beautiful chick with wild hair, shaved sides, and cheetah print, lots of friendly rocker/stoners,decided to call it a night, changed minds when we saw an INSANE UNREAL SENSORY OVERLOAD HIPPY/BURNER PARTY BUS WITH A LIVE BAND THAT PLAYS ROCK VERSIONS OF CLASSICAL MUSIC, staying on the bus, drove all over California, made new friends, fell in love many times with various people, had my knowledge of classical music tested, surprised the band, won a great CD, kept getting asked for pictures of our blacklight warpaint makeup from lasertag from random riders who thought we were apart of the whole bus exhibit, passed out on the bus going everywhere until near dawn, finally got off, staggered with Milloux back to car, drove to house, knocked out, woke up and discovered an amazing backyard with fresh pomegranate, avacado, lemon and orange trees...

Eff you, YOLO; Carpe Nocturne (seize the night)!

And here are a few pictures:

(Milloux got a picture of my arse when I wasn't paying attention)

FEAR Team Suicide in our warpain!!!

And lastly, this psychodelic fucking bus was UNREAL. Or, maybe it was all of the pot and edibles. Nope...I'm pretty sure it was incredibly unreal, but it did happen!

That night was CRAZY. But a great precursor to hopefully a great week! Thanks for all the love, everyone, and I hope you all have a great week! Wish me luck on this job!!! kiss

Kisses to all of the misses and pitched tents for all the gents,

~Kuro
