New Years has always been a troublesome holiday for me. I can't really even say why. I'm almost always an easy going person, but on New Year's eve, I get aggitated for no good reason. I guess, that's just my pattern. I'm going to go over to my best freind's house in a little while to make the good luck dinner, of black-eyed peas, and cabbage. Maybe this year I should get extra helpings! I think the reason New Year's always gets me down, is that you're forced to confront where you are in life. You see where you are, and where you're not. At least this year i have 1 thing I'm working towards, but that does'nt fix everything else that I have let get to where it is. Every opportunity I let slip into the ether, every love I let wither on the vine. I do not know why.

sometimes facing where we are in our life is a good thing, because it gives us the chance to make changes if we want to. so even though it may be frusterating to see where we've let ourselves be.. or what we've let ourselves get caught up in, the fact that we're almost forced to stop for a moment and reflect on ourselves and our lives... gives us the opportunity to help ourselves.
i enjoy your journal comments, because in replying to them, i end up feeoling a little more complete, a little more 'one' with the world. so thank you
