I've been haunted the last couple of days by something that happened when I worked at Chevron six years ago. Every once in a while I get it on my mind and I still get so bothered by it.
One day the cops show up and ask me if I'm the only girl that works there. I'm wondering what I did that I forgot. They tell me they want me to talk to this little ten year old girl to see if I recognize her. The week before she was kidnapped, raped twice, then the guy stopped to get gas. I helped them. Then he took her and beat the shit out of her and raped her three more times. So they bring over this little tiny girl who still has cuts and bruises all over her face and a big fat lip. She asks me in this tiny little voice if I remember her and she sounded so hopefully it made me sick. I didn't remember her. I gave her a hug and went in the bathroom and puked and went home. It really creeped me out.

I hope they caught that dude so he can live out his days getting raped so he knows what it feels like.
