I was in downtown Portland in Pioneer Square at about 11:30 and some drugged out gang banger was talking some shit. I was trying to be nice... diplomatic and cool, but he clocked me three or four times. I walked away. I didn't even get angry enough to retalite. I guess I'm too even tempered to really care.
I've got a lump on my head, and some pain in my jaw, but... I walked away with a good story. I guess I should feel lucky that I only got a few bruises. Realistically, it could have been a lot worse, and I'm grateful for that.
He gave me a few lumps with out retaliation, but the upshot of it is... come Monday morning, he'll still be a drugged out gang banger asshole living on the street, and I'll be the one with ownership of two pieces of real estate and a six figure income. I'm pissed... but I have a good story out of it all. I'm grateful that I got to walk away, and that I'm happy for..
