I'm stoked. I'ma go play D & D for the first time in about six months. I've missed geeking out.

I bought Abbey Road today, and I am so happy for it. I also ordered a Dandy Warhols cd. Woot, music is teh win.

Updatelydoo!

D & D was quite fun. I hadn 't played in sooo long, and it was all still so fresh and vivid for me. I was actually helping another player out. I was the only girl, which I actually kinda like. I got to hang out with four math grad students and the owner of the local comic shop, and act like a total nerd for hours. I was a little worried at first that they might have been bothered at first by the fact that they were clowning around more, and i was a bit more focused. I ended up being complimented for getting involved enough and helping the other players feel immersed in the game. God I've missed rpg night.

The seminar today was really interesting and informative. I really feel that I learned a lot of useful skills and ideas that will serve me well throughout my life, and really give me a professional edge. I also got to impress the management by being one of the few non-managers there. Several of them asked me for feedback on it. I got to show them that I value and appreciate the trainings they sponsor, and show that I am committed to becoming a better employee. I have entered into major league over-achiever mode. I really really want this new position, so I am busting ass to look like a perfect candidate. I work well like this, and its causing me to really polish myself. I'm rehearsing interview responses, working and reworking my application letter, taking on more projects, and strenghtening professional bonds. Its all about keeping my eyes on the prize.

I picked up several other cd's today. Living Legends, Rollins band, ELO, and a punk comp, plus a free cd for my baby sis. Good stuff. I think I'm going to get some more when I go get my Dandy Warhols, probably more Beatles, and I really want the Postal Service too. There's too damn much good music, I wish I had the finances for it all.
