Anyway, I got to see The Good Shepard, The Departed, Blood Diamond, Borat, Children of Men and Babel and here are my reviews with ratings. ****THE REVIEWS CONTAIN SPOILERS!!!
(I have seldom watched any new movies all year and now I'm binging!)
The Departed - 5 stars - Great acting. I'm not satisfied with the ending but I'm a sucker for happy endings. I really wish Billy would've been able to make things right. Good dynamics among the characters. This is a good look into Boston culture.
Children of Men - 4 stars - Kinda violent. And a lot of questions were left unanswered. (However they weren't necessary obviously.) Possibly candidate for a sequel or prequel. I woud like to know more about the Human Project and the cause of widespread infertlity.
Blood Diamond - 4 stars - I enjoyed this movie. Another one where I would've liked a happy ending. I have more respect for Dicaprio's (sp?) acting after watching this and The Departed. There several instances in which I say to myself "why hasn't the bad guy pulled the trigger?" And random warfare seemed to save the day numberous times but, hey, it's a movie.
The Good Shepard - 3 stars - Let me say I've always been a Matt Damon fan. But I had several hangups like it's really hard to get Damon to look like he has aged. His college years looked like his adult years, and his son looked like his drinking buddy. The women throwing themselves at him was a bite unbelievable, as was his relationship with Angelina Jolie's character. Dude, you want to fuck her - and often. I came in wtih high expections. And I had no idea the CIA was so boring.
Babel - 3 stars - in the beginning, I felt like every other minute a new disaster would happen, and that kept me on edge. Kinda violent.
Borat - 2 stars - I love the TV version but the movie version was hard to watch. It was idiocy across the board. There were funny scenes, absolutely guarenteed. But they were trying too hard to be silly.
Fucking awesome. Today's my first full day off I as long as I can remember! (one month)
I think I'm going to do nothing right now and like it.
I went to the dentist this afternoon to get my teeth cleaned. (I'm trying to go at least t once a year even when nothing is wrong.) My teech are still a bit sore. I got x-rays, too, and I may have 1 cavity. They always like to look at my teeth because I have supernumeraries (extra teeth). I have 2 additional wisdom teeth! How's that for a random fact about me. Dr. Yee says those are the first ones he's seen in person.

tangus:
Eh, it's not a big deal. I have 0% APR forever and my credit isn't going down because I pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars every month off my credit so it's not insurmountable debt, it'll just take a few more months.
