I love getting free food/drinks at a resturant! Last month I got free food at Chili's; the manager comped, thinking the the food took too long (I guess!). Anyway I was just enjoying the night, etc. I gave the bartender a $5 tip anyway. 
I am not one to bitch as having worked at a resturant before, and know there are multiple reasons for slow ticket time. And now, I get free nonalcoholic drinks at Cabo Grill at the boardwalk. I have never seen/noticed this bartender before! I ordered a chicken burger w/bacon and cheese. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary. I didn't even mention I used to work at a resturant. Sweet! If it's free, it's me!
On a side note, I think it's an unspoken rule to not charge friends for nonalcoholic drinks at a resturant. I mean...we all know it's bullshit! Just have a real customer eat the cost, right?
