Recently I had a nasty experience in Internet. I have been reading a Russian forum for some time - kind of a supporting one for people in some kind of troubles. It seemed to be okay - people having the same grief were supporting and helping each other. I decided to make my own thread there, I was sad and needed some support, some talk on that topic, idk. And when introducing myself I mentioned that I am a sex worker.
Guys. Idk it is fucking ridiculous and it made me laugh like crazy being on this forum but it is scary as fuck too. Looks like almost no one took notice of my trouble (and this was a thematic forum), my job was everything they were concerned about. The forum divided into two parties. One tried to conclude me that I have chosen my work because of my troubles/mental health issues/or whatsoever others were openly HATING me leaving a lot of nasty and ugly offensive comments- and I wasn’t asking their fucking opinion on my work at all, my thread was about absolutely different problem!!!
I never responded to hateful stuff but when I wanted to stop this discussion and wrote that my work is my choice, I love it and I am proud of it I got the warning from the forum administration for “propaganda” of porn and was accused of being a porn recruit.
Of course I left that awful place, the last thing I saw - they were discussing whether I thought up all my story (and I was really sad and asking for advice and support) just to post on a forum where there are a lot of people in trouble to recruit young girls for porn shootings🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
This is all so scary because it is the spirit of Russia. I told that many times before - I really hate my country and not only because of Putin shit and awful conditions of living. Russian mentality and attitude is what hurts the most. Hate, hate, hate. The word “tolerance” is a curse word in Russia. Discrimination is Russian religion. One of the women on the forum said about sex workers: “Well if they have to exist, let it be, but don’t ever say about it loud, we don’t wanna hear about that. Same as about gay people”. And it is hard and painful to believe but this is what the majority of Russians think. So scary.
I am so happy and blessed that THIS place is different. Thank you all the people on SG for being so open about everything, so tolerate and respectful. If the whole Internet and the whole world was like this, our planet would have been a much better place.
