Update, not much new to update. I just had two days off, which was lovely. I read, painted, talked to two different gallerists about showing my work, tried to talk to one art retailer about buying my art, blah blah blah. Looks like I definately made one connection, which is good. My work will be hung in a place in november, which I will tell all about when it happens so you can come out and play with me. Wheee.
I have been reading manga from work. Seeing as how I am in charge of it I am slowly familiarizing myself with all of it, plus pimping out the manga section at work, awesome. I started reading "Fruits basket", which is so good. I also rented some of the anime, which is so good also, I love it. I'm also reading "Eldest" by Paolini, which has it's strengths and weaknesses. I think after this I am going to read Hardy, because I'll need somethign more structured in it's writing and more succinct in the plotline. Paolini is good, but it's aimed at young adults and clearly written by a newbie, so yeah, I'll need something better written.
What else, bills are slowly getting taken care of...slowly, my parents reefused to help with the medical stuff, whoo fucking hoo. I love it when I talk to my mom about such things, she never relents. In her estimation I "have two jobs now, I should be able to take care of it, or I have the choice of going back to school and then they will think of helping me." Ouch, great, thanks for the help and love folks. I still could use some money folks, so if anyone wants art let me know, puh-lease...pretty puh-lease even.
I went to visit a friend I work with last night at the bar. I was going to sacrifice a bit of money to buy him a beer on his 26th birthday, but the bar was overfull and the guy working the door would barely let me in just to say hi. Sonmabitches. So, I went in, gave him a big hug, gave hellos all about, and my condolences, and went back to hang out with my friends, who were drinking at another bar. I nursed one well poured drink for a while to convserve money, and then got slammed with the bar tab when my friends ended their stint by leaving abruptly. That completely sucked, you know I am in trouble when a $40 bar tab unnerves me to no end. I ended up catching up with them and making aaron promise to pay me back, but he has financial problems himself...at least he had a pay check in his pocket, I have $50 to last me the next two weeks!
We ended up going over to Dom's, who was very excited to see me more than anyone, and declared that she wanted to pose for me and hang out in life beyond just drinking at her house, awesome. This guy who was with her got highly offended when Trev rubbed her feet, told him to get his hands off of his girlfriend...funny thing is Dom is not dating him, never has, is dating someone else we all know for two years now? What the fuck. We had to leave suddenly, because this guy was throwing us out for that, but not before I got several kisses from Dom, hee hee...at least something was good about last night.
