well people, I have attained bragging rights... in April my work will be viewable in Infusion Gallery, Los Angeles California.
Excited...yet cautious... this has the potential to be a very big deal for me, and yet it's very scary. On the one hand I am going to be showing in the top three cities to exhibit in america, so naturally I am fantasizing my pretty little head off.. on the other hand, this could turn out to be a disaster and I am trying not to get caught up in the drama of it. It's a group show, and I'll be exhibiting 11 pieces in the actual space. The artist reception will be on April 14th, from 6 to 11 and I would really love to be able to go... unfortunately that may not be realistic given my current situation, unless someone generous decides to pony up money to send me there. (I'm still in talks with someone who may do this for me, so who knows.)
An artist reception in gallery district in LA...
Fuck me. I get wired up for the one's I have had to attend around here, holy shit.
Not to sound overtly girly, but what the hell would I wear and say? I have to put on my "gracious artist" face so I can try to extract sales and other show offers from clients while I was there...joy...
But yeah, I will update and let you all know what is happening and if I will make an appearance. LA people, chance to see my work... and maybe me in concert... weee...
throwing away my anonymity is grand.
But yeah, soon I will be in the position to conquer LA... at least the gallery district...
Now I have to write two separate emails to yell at other galleries to return my slides that they have had in their possession for over 6 months, or give me a show... it never stops... later I will shoot slides and frame my work up... heh...did I mention I'm happy though?
1. Name something really good that has happened to you lately? Whatever brightened your day, whether it was something you observed, someone did for you, or just something you did for yourself.
2. What's the most creative thing you like to do in your spare time?
3. As always, one random fact about yourself.
