I'm not in a good mood right now.
I just destroyed one of my favourite paintings I created over the last few months, and it was all my fault. I was over eager to get it in a frame in the beginning and didn't allow it to dry completely. Now, ordinarily with regular watercolour paper, this would not be a problem because the paper is porous. Well, I have been painting on yupo for 6 months, which is a plastic paper, non-absorbent, non-porous. You have to just let all of the moisture evaporate out of it before you put it under glass. Stupid me, I stuck it under glass before all of the moisture was drawn out of it and boom, it fused within a day. I just tried to take the painting out of the frame so I could shoot a better slide of it than I had and, not only did I brake the glass, but when I pulled the glass off of the painting all of the pigment came with it and some of the paper as well. So, yeah, I have 2 options, move on completely and chalk it up to being a lost painting, or repaint it, which won't make it the same.
Of course, it was one of the better paintings I did all year. It had to be, I mean, it's Murphey's law right?
I'm so upset I started bawling whe I pulled it apart. The scary thing, there are others I have that I did this to also, and I have no one to blame but my own arrogant eager stupidity.
I just sent of a pleading email to my watercolour teacher, asking him how I can prevent such an occurence in the future. It won't save the painting I just lost, but will help me to learn from my mistake. I'm so depressed right now I could cry again. It's like losing one of your children.
For now it exists only in slide form and in digital form. It's on Deviant Art right now. I am now offering prints of this painting on deviant art for $5 for a 4" by 8" print. Seeing as how it's been destroyed I may as well. For now, everyone say farewell to one of my greates masterpieces, and biggest mistakes ever.

Since Malloreigh and SnowElf have both expressed an interest in seeing my custom 1" buttons I am posting here all that I have made so far.
