So, yesterday and today were fruitful days in the studio. I finished this watercolor of plain_ol_jane and put another ink layer on two series of blockprints which finally, glory be, dried enough to do so. My god, now I remember why I previously only used waterbased inks. I have to commend plain_ol_jane for yielding this pose in the first place. It's so rare that a model is willing to contort herself in such a manner, even if it is only for the 3 seconds it takes to snap the photo. My compliments goes to her along with my thanks for allowing me to paint such an interesting and dynamic pose. Everyone, go tell her how much you like it.
I don't know how many people have looked in my art folder recently, but last week I added a watercolor I painted of the lovely SnowElf. She is a hopeful SG girl and head of the pack, in my opinion. I think it would be an utter shame if SG never chooses her as a model. Though disappointed, she has kindly allowed me to work with an image from her rejected photoset to create a work of art and this is what I came up with.
Again people, go give her a shout out. I would have put this piece up in my journal last week but, ha ha, I'm barely competent when it comes to working the computer and could not figure out until now how to put the pictures up to their best advantage. Curse my inability with mechanical things.
Other than that I had a pleasant trip to the book store today with my partner. It's amazing how much sitting down in a chair next to a fireplace with a mug of tea and Louis Armstrong playing in the background really soothes the soul. The overdramatics of last night are banished to a distant, feeble, hilarious memory and I can rest my heart and soul and throw my hands to the air saying "Well, what can you do. That's life."
I apologize for anything I said or did that was unbecoming.
That being said, everyone in SG land, have a great Halloween!

Thanks everyone for the compliments on the work! Go tell the models SnowElf and plain_ol_jane, who are both SG hopefuls, how much you like them. They both deserve as much credit as I do, people!!!!
And for all of you female artists out there, drop by my new group Female Artists and join. I'm still waiting for some of my friends to come by and will be quite upset if I don't see you there soon! And any other female artists that I have been courting drop by as well. I haven't been pursuing you for nothing!
And to see more of my work go to my website to see pieces from my "Objects of Female Torture" exhibition or view the newest work on my site. All of the work is currently for sale. Contact me through my website email if you're interested. I even gave you the direct links to the site, now you have no excuses!
