I'm back from seeing Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence. It was much better than I thought it would be, as good as I hoped it would be. IT's about this new type of cyborg called a gynoid that starts to malfunction and kill their owners, who use them as sex dolls. If anyone has seen the first GITS than they now about Kusanagi and Batou, this movie follows Batou as he tracks the company responsible for making the gynoids. He talks alot about Kusanagi, but it's a mystery where she has got to, since she disappeared at the end of GITS.

I don't want to give too much away, because I really think people should go see this movie, but I will say this. GO SEE THIS MOVIE! If you are an anime fan at all, or liked the first GITS than you can't miss it. If you hated the first one, skip this, as it is more of the same complex philosophic themes and jaw dropping action sequences. But, oh, did it feel good to see anime in a theatre, in the original japanese (the movie is subtitled, but it doesn't detract). And sitting there, listening to the same, slightly revised, creepy choral music while watching the robot being created in the beginning sent chills up my spine like tiny needle pricks! oh, the music, every time it chilled me. It was good, definitely worth seeing, and a must see in the theatre.

.... Man, I'm getting chills just thinking about it....

.....Ok, I'll stop blabbering about it....

Go see it! smile
