I just woke up from the most ominous fucking dream. I'm in a wet suit on a long board paddling out to the surf, eventually getting there and then going past the point where the waves start coming to land. The whole time I continue paddling out, even though I've clearly passed the point where I can actually surf a wave. As the sky starts to darken, I am still paddling even though land has already faded away. Once I have lost sight of land for what feels like forever I sit up on the board and then just stare off into the horizon. This whole time "Something in the Way" by Nirvana is playing and I get this feeling of a really strange mix of depression, calmness, and apathy.

I finally woke up once it got too dark to see.
