I went in to Cat's Meow and talked to Rob and he said he'd call me in a week or so with more exact hours and I should be starting at the end of the month.
I rock the hardest.
And it'll take me less time to get from my house to Cat's Meow than it takes to get from my house to Glass Nickel (because I have to take the bus). I'm still going to work at Glass Nickel though, because I heart Glass Nickel.
Yesterday in Occ Prep this vet tech Lauri Angell came in to talk to us about handling the animals in our spare time and taking socialization classes and whatnot. There's a policy that you can only go interact with a dog in your free time when you've got someone with you because a few years ago this girl went into the dog room by herself and into a dog's run and sat down on the floor and kissed the dog and got bit in the face. Lauri Angell's like, "Yeah, she had to try and pry this dog's jaws off her face because no one was there to help and then she got X amount of stitches. And do you know what kind of dog that was who bit her?"
A few stupid, moronic, ignorant asshats were like, "Pit bull."
And she goes, "No! It was a cocker spaniel."
Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

They have two models of the region-free ones at Four Star: one is $140 and one is $70. The only other places I've seen them are on j-list and those were like $250.
