Hey All!!!!
Happy Saturday....
Know what, i'm not in the mood to be clever or introspective today, today i'm in the mood to just me.
So, I'm setting here enjoying my morning cup of coffee, and believe it or not listening to NOFX. What a GREAt way to start my day.
I already bought my Warped tour TIX yesterday, which is funny because it's not even going to be here until AUG 9th. I wanted the CD though (they are packaging the TIX with a CD with some of the bands if you pre-buy)
Upcoming shows ..I think i may go see Elvis Costello next monday. Sort of a return to the days of my first time through college. Of course Green Day the end of April.
I just found out that Phantom Planet MAY be in town monday, and of course I can't go. Which kind of pisses me off becasue they are one of the bands on my MUST SEE LIVE list. I missed Interpol last monday, which equally sucks.
Went to Movies wiith T last night, ok...we saw The Pacifier, not high art but still a "cute" movie. Hey...don't laugh it was free. Then we stopped a Shula's for martinis after. I'm always up for that though all the best martini bars in town are fucking expensive, but you get what you pay for. These were great drinks.
So...WVU in the final 8. Not bad for a team who a week before the 'Dance' started was in danger of not even getting in. I think the run stops tonight though. ( since you don't know my first time through college was WVU)
I have to go and do a little volunteer work this afternoon. An Easter Egg hunt over in Newport News. actually this isn't my actual charity of choice, but i'm helping out a freind. My favorite Vol work is when I do Special Olympics. I know it may seem funny, but i am inspired when i work with them. Especially the Adults. I mean how can you not feel a little inspiration when you are around a group of people who have been dealt a terrible hand by life, and still rise above. I'm working with them in Two weeks , and i am looking foward to it.
Well, I guess i have been a little long winded here, but it was good to "chat" with you. I hope evrybody has a great Saturday, and an even better tomorrow. No matter which omniscient supreme creator you follow remember that the real spirt of Eater is the spirt New start and beginings.
