Happy Day after everyone. did everybody have a great day? Mine was good, small and non-contraversal. I think that is one of te great things about my family, we are able to put our differences and idiosyncracies behind us when the need be.
Did anybody here actually get up at to go to Walmart at 5 am to save a few bucks. I just don't understand this phnenomenon. Then again i have so little buying to do for the holidays I don't feel the need. Of course I did run over to Gamestop at 9am because thay had an early bird special on Tony Hawk's American Wasteland. 20.00 dollars off. Cool huh I may wander to the mall later this afternoon, but that is more to go see 'Rent" than to shop. But i may shop a bit. *sHrugs*
I know some of you hate the holidays for alot of different reasons, but remember one thing this time of year is about going against the norm. Grasp it and make it oyur own. It is a time to do nice things for people you do not know for little or no credit.
To be honset it is a time for selfishness." Now wait a minute" you ask, " isn't that being a bit hypocritical?" Yeah...I know I just went on about showing kindness and rising above the consumerism most of this season represents. But I am selfish because I like to do nice things for others becasue of the way it makes me feel inside. No.. honest. Idealistic maybe, but somebody has to do it.
So everyone try to find just one good thing about the 5 weeks weeks between Nov 24 and Jan 1. Then build on it, and do it for you.

Yep.
I am definitely one of those people who hates the holidays with a passion. Then again, I don't really celebrate them, so I guess it's not a big deal. Ah well. The things you most expect to turn out badly have a way of being better than you expect, at least four out of five times... That's been my experience, anyway.

btw got your email, hope all works out better than it sounds. i know all about them hitting those teenage years!
