All I got to say is Karma is a bitch. The problam is I can't figure out what I did to PISS off the fates so bad. Let's start with the "simple" run up to atlantic city to see The Dropkick Murphys ended up cotsting me over 400.00. I was gone approx. 36 hours. Just as I accepted the fact I spent way too much and would be able to re-coup the cash the two biggest items I own (my house and my car) both decide to fuck me in the ass. First my hot water heater goes...then the ignition on my car goes. Both cost me approx. 400.00 a piece to fix. Wait a minute...I'm seeing a pattern here.
You know what though, it will ba alright. I may have to curtail my going out a bit, but I'll live. Hey!!! it's the holiday season and nothing is really that bad.
I'm so happy this semester is almost over. I swaer this one almost drove me to call it quits...again.
Has anybody seen the new commercial for Ebay with The Monkees singing 'Daydream Believer'? I know it makes me seem old as fuck (i am) but it reminds me of all the really happy moments of my growing up years.
I truly believe that every era is really special in it's own way, but you kids really missed something if you missed the 70's. For me the times were hard, and a lot of times it sucked...but i was so happy.
You know, when that whole '20 things' tag was going around, I thought I wanted tagged. But who really wants to know 20 things about me?

Not to say that good stuff doesn't come around anymore, because it does, and on a daily basis... It just seems like there's so much crap out there now, people are forced to look for "it" a bit harder now... Dig a little deeper.
Then again, "digging" for lost musical gems and out of print books never hurt anyone. I'm sure that, somewhere along the line, even the most obscure things have admirers and people to keep things rolling and I sleep soundly at night, aware of that fact.
Then again, in 20 years, someone might bring back the whole Britney Spears/boy-band thing... Sometimes it works against you, I guess. Ah well... Sorry about your car and water heater. The WH here seems like it's about to die as well... Nothing like taking cold showers, in a cold house with no heat, when it's freezing outside... Yep.
I'm sure the Murphys were worth it, though...
That being said, I DO like Pink Floyd, though not as much as PiL. Definitely not as much as I dig the Sex Pistols.
THAT being said... The Clash and Joy Division never fail to make my day...
