Why does life feel numb sometimes, like you are just going through the motions.
Time keeps ticking closer to the time of my friends moving date. She is super stressed and I should be more supportive with huge helpful ideas, but I all I can think is.... why are you moving?
Maybe I should just steal a line from a movie and tell her.. . "I will miss your lips and everything attached to them."

Sorry to hear about the motorcycle accident (...had to journal stalk to figure that out, but I'm very sorry to hear it).
And as for your friend who's moving -- I know how much it sucks to have loved ones live far away, but I also know how personable you are, unlike me; so I know that you'll stay in touch. No, you won't be able to chat over lunch -- and I know that's what really sucks about all this -- but you've still got the phone and the Internet; your friend will never be more than a few electrical pulses away.
