Woah, what a day. Here's how it went:

First, around 1 am or so, I got an email from some dude who somehow got a hold of a 4 disc Henry Rollins anthology that I had made. I made about three for some friends of mine and encouraged them to pass on the "Hankology" to other potential listners after they bought the albums each batch of 4 to 6 songs came from. I never thought it would actually take place! I left my name and email addy on the back of each copy, so when this dude named Stu got it and listened to it, he felt compelled enough to write me an email to tell me I did a good job. Woah. eeek

Today my workshift was 6 am to 10 am. When I woke up, it was 9:56. Much expletives were uttered. I called work and they said I could come in for a 11am to 3pm shift.

When I got there my manager told me some interesting news:

"Mark is no longer with us. I'm not at liberty to say why, but I will say this, 'handcuffs'. It was really bad."

Mark was guy around my age who worked in housekeeping. He was a fast-talking, outgoing, happy-go-lucky guy. However, beneath all this was a lazy, lying, selfish piece of shit. One day when I was in stockroom and he was on housekeeping, I asked him to take care of the garbage and clean the bathrooms and we would be all set for the night. This was a task that A) he had penty of time for and B) was pretty simple C) it was a slow day, so it would be easy. I saw him head out of the stockroom with the big grey garbage cart and went on with my tasks. About half an hour later, the cart was back on the dock. I went out to check the bins and they were both still full. There was no way he could've "missed" so many of them.

I went back into the break room and there he was eating chips, drinking juice, and watching TV. I asked him what was up and he said he was on his 20 minute break and that all the garbage was done.

"You're such a comfortalbe liar" - Chevelle

I walked with him out to show him the bins he "missed" and he's saying shit like "Well I might've missed a few, I'm only human y'know..." Blah blah blah. It was already late by then and I was off the next day so it was going to be up to the housekeeping guys who were on tomorrow to handle it. I'm pretty sure that Mark didn't show up for work the next day.

I could go on and on but I won't. The important thing is that this bastard is GONE. I was talking with this guy from customer service who said that there was money missing from the registers this morning and that the police crusiers outside around 6:30 am.

Not only am I pissed at oversleeping for fucking up my normal shift, I also missed all the action of Mark getting lead out in handcuffs! mad WTF?!

In other news, my new speakers for my comp arrived the other day. They are all set up and rocking my face off! biggrin

BTW, hearing AIM sounds coming out of high quality speakers is very surreal. surreal

The new and improved Kris7, whom you can now IM in Digital 5.1 Surround Sound.

Oh also, I implemented a good idea last night. When I had my Itunes playing in shuffle mode I would often run into songs that were mere intros to ther songs or one of the spoken word tracks that I've got of Henry Rollins and Allen Ginsberg.

So I made a playlist which is essentially my whole library, minus intros, interludes, spoken word tracks, and the occasional song that I find annoying. Two examples that were left out were: "Tell Me What You See" by The Beatles and "Somewhere" by Soundgarden. Ugh, that Soundgarden song is the worst track on Badmotorfinger. Exactly how the hell it made the cut, I don't know. I do know that if I were Terry Date (producer) I would've shot that one down. The beginning of the song is just so stupid and the rest of it is nothing to write home about either.

Anyway the new, improved and practical playlist is called RADIOFREEUSA!

I don't even know what the fuck Radio Free means, but it sure sounded like a good name. biggrin
