What the fuck is up with September 23rd? That's my birthday and the following albums are coming out on that day:

Has it become natinional Release Your New Album Day? I'm only getting the new Atmosphere. I respect the other groups though. Ugh, why did Limp Bizkit decide to put out a new one on MY BIRTHDAY?
Speaking of dates, I can't belive tomorrow is going to be September 11th. It's been two years since the attack on the World Trade Center and The Pentagon already. I remember last year when I was still in school, I bought a box set of remastered albums by The Doors. Getting into them and getting into Jim Morrison got me into writing poetry. Since at the time it was a year after that day, I wanted to reconnect with the work of the man who got me into poetry. I thought poetry was for snooty wimps before I listened to The Doors. Jim was one of the most well-read rockstars EVER. When he was in college, he did this thing where he would put himself in the middle of a room full of tons of books that he had read, blindfold himself, get spun around, and have someone pick a book, any book, and start reading any page from it out loud. Jim would identify the book and the author and I think even what page the passage was on. HE NEVER MISSED!
I attempted to write a poem about September 11th, but it kinda fell through. I have a lot of poems that I need to revisit and work on. I miss writing. I do belive in what Bukowski said about writing: to wait for inspiration to come to you as opposed to forcing it out.
In other news, I've uploaded two pics of myself. One from a school project, the other is from when I was on vacation in upstate NY with my family, and it's a pic of me with my glasses on too!
Seriously, I wish I could get contacts but my eyes flinch like CRAZY when something gets too close! I felt so fucking bad for the optometrist who had to dilate my eyes to look at them so I could get my subscription updated. My eyes got all flinchy and fluttery every time that eyedrop got too close. I sure made that guy poor guy work for his money. Not on purpose though. 
Lastly, I'd like to thank everyone who reads my lengthy journal entries and responds to them. It's nice to know that there are still people out there who aren't afraid to make the effort to read something that's a little long. That means a lot to me in this day and age of everything being compressed into soundbytes to be consumed by those with short attention spans. Thank you.
