I have tears in my eyes as I write this , last weekend I lost a lifelong friend , a friend from my earliest childhood memories , a friend who wooed my late cousin Donna out of the convent and married her , a friend of thirtyfour years , last Saturday night I took my boat over to Long Island to attend his Memorial day beach party , I never knew that would be the last time I would see him alive , he quietly passed away Sunday afternoon . Later this afternoon we will lay his body to rest here in Connecticut , I am a pallbearer in his funeral , the wake will be rough as his family is like my own .

There are many good things in my life right now , I have made a 100% recovery from a near death experience last year , I recieved a very large promotion at work , I have nearly completed the renovation of my dream home , my aerospace consulting firm is doing very well , my electrical contracting company is growing , I purchased a large waterfront lot in Westbrook Ct and slapped up a three story modular home in time for summer , ...........yet somehow I feel as if my life really sucks right now
