It's been a great night. So I am a full time art student here in San Francisco and I'm studying Visual Development. Vis Dev is basically the layout (look and feel) of an animated film before any animation takes place. Tonight was a super special night for me because Dreamworks Animation, my favorite company, visited my school and the woman hosting the lecture gave some great tips. She presented how the entire production pipeline works and I learned things I hadn't known before.
Like how a single minute of an animated film costs roughly $1.7 million.
But I also learned that my favorite movie Megamind is not getting a sequel, which kinda blows. If ya'll are wondering what the tattoo on my hip is, it's the Megamind logo and I highly recommend the film! It's what essentially got me back into doing what I love. I also met some wonderful people tonight. So I'm pretty damn happy at this point.
I seriously feel so blessed to be doing what I do in this city.
(They said no pictures, but I sneaked one in at the beginning muahahaha)
