I cut my hair.
I, me, myself, cut by me. I own my own clippers for such a ritual. I grew tired of the upkeep that longer hair requires and wished to use said time in other manners in other than vanity.
Why do I torture myself by staying in Michigan? Why do I let myself buy things I don't need only to temporarily please my desire for new things when I could be spending that money on moving to Portland?
It may not look like it from my pic, but I'm a big nature lover. I love riding my bike, hiking through the mountainous terrain of the west and camping on the rockiest ground you can imagine.
The Detroit area does not offer me enough vertical challenge. It does not offer me the understanding of creative personalities or the activism of treehuggers bent on salvation of our woodland.
Now that I only live about 2.5 miles from my workplace, I now commute to work via bicycle or even by foot. Even though there is snow on the ground and one of my roomates now thinks I'm officially insane for riding my mountain bike in the artic tundra, I grow steadily angry with people who harrass me on the road. SUV driving mother-fuckers who deem their precious seconds too important to give me right of way to cross my bike at a pedestrian crossing as is law to do so in Michigan. How DARE I for getting in the way of NavigaxplorEpeditionburban.
I cut my hair. It's time for change.
Is there anyone actually reading my journalistic vomit?

I finally registered a new domain name tonight. It USED to be www.ballistickitty.com as a home of a cartoon I used to draw but it's gone nowhere over the past few years and decided to take a long break from it and just have a site with my drawings, thoughts, pictures, and any other crap that 's on my brain at www.functionalsponge.com. It may not be up until Tuesday, but I will immediately start posting stuff on it and update it with my sketchbook drawings asap.
