Just finished reading John Grey's 'Straw Dogs: Thoughts on humans and other animals'
It is disturbing, inspiring and challenging on many levels and I have not read a book in a long time that potentially turned the world upside down in the way that this one has.
It is aphoristic in style, a series of contemplations if you like with no academic back up (other than an extensive reading list) designed I believe to make you think about things at a very pared back fundamental level.
If you are happy with your fundamental beliefs being wobbled then this might be a read for you..If you are not, steer clear.

For sure! It will be about a year though, this is just overenthusiastic preliminary reading, the new year (final year) starts next week
