Last night I had a dream that I was doing pushups. Not just any pushups though, crazy inverted, legs against a wall style pushups that you see in a kung fu training montage.

Today my chest, neck, shoulders and arms are sore. This is awesome, it's like going to the gym without having to go to the gym. Tonight I am going to try to...

Once I get through Constancia and Other Stories for Virgins, I may start on One Hundred Years of Solitude.
horriblesanity:
I need to give One Hundred Years of Solitude another chance, I've been having trouble getting into it. Probably partly due to the difficult transition. I've been on a weird book binge, so the change was a little jarring.

If you can make your dream exercise system work, you could make a fortune off it.

RGGHH!!!!

I get excited for other people's events. Really excited. So there is this girl that I have had the worst crush on for as long as I have lived in Providence. I don't know a thing about her... well I didn't know a thing about her until last week when I was talking to a friend of mine about a trip to Copenhagen I...

Whenever a SG daily pic set makes me bite my knuckles and pound the desk top I feel like I should tell everybody. So my heart, for today anyway, belongs to Bee and Sawa. Wowser. I know that I read to many hopeless love stories because, amongst other things, I bite my knuckles and pound the tables but whatever, let's get right down to...

I have absolutely nothing pithy or witty to say today. I am holing up to avoid people I am not keen on seeing, and to try reclaim some of my privacy. My goal for today is to sit and listen to music read and get a complete rough draft done for a story that I have been churning around in my brain.

Which means I...

Yeah, I am a local from Alamosa and ASC just works for me. There are a couple of really talented profs in the English Dept. so it works for me.....

Is the story you are working on a short story? Or something longer? My life is sort of odd, so I get tons of privacy just naturally. But I always have a rough time clearing my head of useless thoughts so that my poetry will write itself.

kiss thanks.

at least i am understanding the book. because for the most part, that is what i grasped from my reading.

i must keep reading!!!! biggrin

as for vacation. i've got several places in mind (all in the US--and i did look at Montreal and Vancouver but figured it was a little too pricey right now for us). but the thing i need to be careful is to not go too crazy about this trip, so we can still save money for our UK trip. of course my husband shocked the heck out me, because he asked if we stayed home this year instead of going someplace, and then went to the UK in 2 years. eeek i'd like to think i could wait 2 years to go on a trip anywhere. but in all honesty, i would not be able to. i don't turn into a pumpkin or anything crazy like that. or at least i don't think i do... wink but my parents have kind of spoiled me by taking me and/or allowing me to go on a trip each year when i was growing up. and letting me use the family's timeshare even through college, now, and in the future to go places. plus, i like that planning a vacation gives you something to look forward to. kind of like a mini goal you know? smile

i'm trying to go to a place that i have never been before. but most of those places are along the pacific coast and more $$$. decisions decisions. maybe i should grab a map. close my eyes. point. and say, this is where we are going. now, how do we get there? biggrin or i could just plan something and not tell my husband until the time gets closer. kind of surprise him. that would be fun too. now i got myself thinking!!!

I finished Love in the Time of Cholera last night for the second time and all I can really say is, "KAPOW!" That is what a novel is all about. It might be the best treatise on love I have ever read and I can't wait to read it again.

I am now really starting to crank into {i]100 Years of Solitude, also by Gabriel...

June 3rd was a day well spent. I drove in a rented Pontiac Vibe from Providence, RI to Portland, ME to get started on a tattoo. It seems crazy to drive that far but it was worth it. The artist, Danielle Madore, did a bang up job. It isn't finished yet. I have another day to finish it off. But I am super psyched...

Somehow the season for my job is over and it feels like summer. Tomorrow I am driving up to Portland, Maine for a new tattoo, I will post pictures when I get the opportunity.

So much reading this summer. I am pretty excited about being able to devote a ton of time to sitting in my favorite reading chair and just vegetating while I throw...

I am having a bad day.

I am also a close reader.

The two are not independent of each other.

When I read I can only read. I cannot read and listen to music, or dance, or plan my afternoon idly. I have to read and only read. I read and chew every single word on the page, I eat it up. Pronouns, structure, form,...

Today might have been the first day that I didn't dread the prospect of heading to work, which is a weird feeling.

I have been reading and perusing the internet for news on football news, any prelude information to Euro 2008.

On a total lark I started a thread in the Lit Club section called Summer Reading Club, or something like it anyway (it...

My job is almost over for the summer and I am going out to California at the end of June. But more on that later. What I am the most excited about is getting started on my half sleeve this week coming up. It is long over due and I can't wait. I found an artist that blew me away with her work--there was this...
