My foot is absolutely killing me. I have lost feeling in the outer edge of my right foot and I can't do anything about it.
The three days after Thanksgiving, we had 8 shows and I was up and down the stairs at the theater about three hundred times. When I had my foot looked a couple weeks ago the doctor said to stay off of it but I can't. I have to be able to perform my job and that means hauling ass up and down stairs. When I get home at the end of the night I keep it elevated and iced, but that is about the best I can do.
I had a dream about starting up an old school (european) athletics club where you can learn to play new sports that aren't ubiquitous in the US; things like handball, fencing, rugby, judo, and gymnastics. It was neat, I think that when I get a little bit more settled I might look into it and see if I can make something like that happen.
In the meantime I have been looking at the comments that people leave on the SG galleries and I am curious if the reading, "you are hot", or "you have sexy [insert anatomy part here]" ever gets tiring. I have wanted to leave some critique of the photo sets and have sent messages to the photographers (who, Pulse excluded, don't ever bother to respond) telling them what I loved about their sets: color choices, props, concept, that sort of thing. But then I read the comments that people leave and I just wonder why I bother thinking about it. The end result is that I am looking at the sets, shrugging most of the time and then closing down the computer. I am fanatical about the sets I like, but most of them are in a category that I call, "Good but who gives a shit." I would love to see a Group in the community that talk about the art for the sake of the art and get into an interesting discussion of where SG is taking the art of the pin-up. But I haven't seen it yet. I will keep looking and see what happens.
In the meantime. I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season, whatever your flavor of holiday you support.
