Somehow the season for my job is over and it feels like summer. Tomorrow I am driving up to Portland, Maine for a new tattoo, I will post pictures when I get the opportunity.

So much reading this summer. I am pretty excited about being able to devote a ton of time to sitting in my favorite reading chair and just vegetating while I throw...

I am having a bad day.

I am also a close reader.

The two are not independent of each other.

When I read I can only read. I cannot read and listen to music, or dance, or plan my afternoon idly. I have to read and only read. I read and chew every single word on the page, I eat it up. Pronouns, structure, form,...

Today might have been the first day that I didn't dread the prospect of heading to work, which is a weird feeling.

I have been reading and perusing the internet for news on football news, any prelude information to Euro 2008.

On a total lark I started a thread in the Lit Club section called Summer Reading Club, or something like it anyway (it...

My job is almost over for the summer and I am going out to California at the end of June. But more on that later. What I am the most excited about is getting started on my half sleeve this week coming up. It is long over due and I can't wait. I found an artist that blew me away with her work--there was this...

Brilliant! I am up to three friends!

Speaking of friends, I got into Facebook because I liked playing Scrabble, then I started tracking down people I knew from college, or highschool, or old casual acquaintances that I lost touch with. But what I am experiencing now is the odd friend menagerie that I am being added to. It sounds weird to say it because I...

Kaede, the funny thing is I am more likely to accept a friend request from someone I don't know (like you and Chris) because we have a similar interest--reading--and try and grow that relationship. I would also accept a friend request from someone I haven't seen in five or ten years. Sometimes you just lose contact, you know?

Chris, I used to date a girl from Apollo, PA which if my memory serves me is near Pittsburgh.

I had an epiphany about why I love tattoos today. I stopped into ye olde coffee shop to pick uppa cuppa joe before I went to go and catch a matinee with a friend of mine--the new Indy movie, if you are interested go for a matinee or bargain night don't spend the ten fifty or whatever it costs at full price. I ran into...

I have a new goal: to read everything that Gabriel Garcia Marquez has ever written (excluding the majority of his Colombian newspaper articles). That is my goal. I will let you know how it works out.

I had a conversation with a girl that I adore and we were talking about what makes people sexy. We both concluded that reading is a huge turn on,...

Yesterdays lunch was a learning experience. It is crazy to think that there are so many different ways to cook rice. I mean seriously, it's all the same basic grain right? But apparently brown rice takes 40 minutes to cook and twice as much water as the white rice I normally cook.

The result was that my stir fry, which incorporated edamame, mushrooms, broccoli, and...

First run at ye ole blog and since I claim to be a writer I would say it makes sense to write. No?

I have been reading, for one reason or another, a lot of books that fall under the category of hippy dippy bullshit. Zen meditation, writing from the heart, that sort of shit. I think it says something about me when I find...
