I'm notoriously bad at talking about myself. I'll avoid it if I procrastinate, so I'll just go into it now.
1. I am constantly beset by feelings of nostalgia, especially for things that are only tangentally related to me. On trips in high school to other schools, I could often imagine my life there easier than I could my life in my actually high school. And I am often stricken by a sadness of all those lost summers on Cape Cod that I never spent.
2. On my mind at any one time: 1) how to make a better movie, or 2) sex.
3. I'm not entirely kidding when I write I lost my virginity three times in one week. The first time didn't really take.
4. Most of my friends are women.
5. I probably have the worst allergies of anyone you've ever seen.
6. I've been having repeated dreams about Ang Lee lately. During the day Wong Kar-Wai mocks me in my head.
7. I'm obsessive, but not necessarily compulsive.
8. I enjoy the idea of marijuana more than the actual experience.
9. People often think I'm sad when I'm actually very happy. And often I get happy at very odd moments. Like I was happier on 9/11 then on the day before.
10. Like Kubrick, happiest when working. Incredibly bitter when I'm working on something I hate.
11. I'm from a place called Pleasantville. Whew! I confessed it.
12. I lived through SARS.
13. I drove cross country.
14. I once looked up at the night sky and realized that the stars weren't a flat screen, but actually three-dimensional.

im opening up the first ever international bbq restaurant...southern smoked, thai , korean, japanese, and filipino styles of bbq....
as for the dying bit??...meningitis ...bad baad bad....spinal taps ...and super strong anitbiotics, vitamins, steriods, and morphine pumped through my body for a week until i was able to stand on my own...i never want to go through that again
