Started a new movie over here. I'm not really sure how I fit in yet or why I'm there. They made up some kind of title for me. The editor I work under is involved but is busy on another project. Her friend is the head editor, but I don't think he really likes me because he can't speak Mandarin and I can't speak Cantonese. But we continue to try to speak to each other and pretend the other understands.

He went on some kind of strike or something for two days. Didn't show his face and didn't answer his phone. So I ended up doing the rough cuts of two of the big fight scenes which was great. Good to be working again.

This film is fun. It features a "Eagle Spirit" which is very obviously a man in costume and the costume loses feathers over the course of the shoot.

I also moved into my boss' mentor's house. He's editing something in Suzhou, so it's just me, the Filipino maid, a huge dog, four cats and a tank of fish.
