I can only imagine how frustrating that must be. I've dealt with working with someone who didn't know how to articulate what it was they wanted and ended up pretty confused, let alone having a language barrier.

Lately, I've been in a weird mood musically, jumping all over and back and forth. Off the top of my head, some of the last few bands have been Preacher Gone To Texas, thefarewelldrive, Idle Hands, and a sprinkling of some random hip hop. I know, that did absolutely nothing for my indie cred. Heh.

My view on insomnia is somewhat atypical. Honestly, I kind of enjoy it, but I've also dealt with it most of my life. And I am more of a night person, so it doesn't bother me to be awake. But on the same note, over the last few years I have gone from having several friends with insomnia (or that at least stayed up all hours of the night) to none at all, and it has become much more solitary. Which isn't necessarily bad, but it isn't exactly ideal either.

Speaking of learning, what are your thoughts on the differences between learning Cantonese over Mandarin? I have personal reasons in picking up Mandarin, but it couldn't hurt me to consider going further.

he doesn't update so much anymore, but i respectfully submit earplug as a "bookmark as interesting" candidate.

PS - I never saw The Hulk, but it was my biggest fear growing up.

I was given a piece of cake once, without eating it right away. It sat first in my car, then on my table for a few hours as the intensity of its chef's care gradually dawned on me. yes, lady sovereign was tiny and totally not my thing. at the end of her performance, she threw the mic on the stage, which hurt my baby ears. i will never forgive her for that.

lately i have been listening to a band called the living things. if you steal music, which we all do, look for a track called "bom bom bom". it's just a bit irresistable.
