The burlesque beauties of Rockalily Burlesque will host an evening of cabaret, burlesque and music on Friday, Sept. 4, 2010 at the Bronson Centre. This evening will be an ultimate throwback to the golden days of burlesque with a mixture of variety, class, and sass.
Think back to the days of yore when teasing was an art form; grand costumes, calculated movements an ankle here, a touch of skin there. Well get ready to be transported back in time to the spectacle of olde-tyme burlesque, with a line-up of guest performers from all over the east coast, sure to tease and titillate all your senses.
Mysterion the Mind Reader, from Toronto, will be Master of Ceremonies for the evening, astounding and amazing the audience with his ability to delve deep into the mind.
Ottawa's very own Sexual Overtones will keep the audience in stitches thanks to their perfection of the art of sexual satire.
The gorgeous dames of Starlight Burlesque will be coming all the way from Toronto to amaze you with their sensual, classic-style cabaret.
The sensual Fiona Flauntit of Toronto will be teasing and pleasing, in all the right ways, for your viewing pleasure and delight.
Miss Sarah Diva will be joining the Revue all the way from Halifax, NS to make you weak in the knees.
Its going to be the most fabulous night Ottawa has yet to see, says Bambi Van Boom.
Doors open at 7:00 p.m. The Bronson Centre is located at 211 Bronson Ave., Ottawa. The Bytowne Burlesque Revue is a 19+ event. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Tickets can be Tuesdays the Romance Store (1239 Wellington St.) or at either Compact Music location (190 Bank St. and 786 and 1/2 Bank St.)
The afterparty will be held at ARC Hotel for VIP guests.
Rockalily Burlesque will be donating all drink proceeds to the Carleton Sexual Assault Support Line.

In other news, I just got back from a beautiful week in the Bahamas! It was a much needed break from all the big and little things that are stressing me out these days!
Well I was going to post all kinds of colourful pictures of sun and sand and birds and sharks.....buuuut the battery on my camera died just now while i was uploading them. I guess I'll have to get those up a little later!
Some highlights of my trip include:
-freefalling in to a shark infested lagoon
-being challenged to a duel by a flamingo
-winning a hula hoop competion
-drinking more delicious lemonade than i think i've ever drank ina week
-not working
My French Toast is ready! Time for me to go!
I'll tell you all about my trip when my camera battery is charged!
