I spoke to a friend of mine, who's a Realtor, on Tuesday. She's coming out Saturday to tell us what we need to do to the house to get it ready to be sold and also help us determine a listing price. She looked up some of the recent house sales in our subdivision and it looks like the houses with similar square footage have been going for about $20,000 more then we original paid. Of course it's not set it stone until we get an actual buyer. ::crosses fingers::

Even though we have savings, 401k, and some decent assets to liquidate, these numbers prove that something like this is truly plausible for anyone! You don't have to have a lot of bank to start out with. Just some gear, a car, and a sense of adventure.

Our big item right now is Guitar Hero II for Xbox 360.
Hopefully we'll be able to buy a table at the GI Joe con in Atlanta this year. Were most likely to get the actual worth of some rarer items there.
I looked up the value of my Focus and it looks like we'll break even on the sale and what's left on the note. We were not expecting profit. We're glad that there will be either no note or a small note left. Newer cars are a little harder to sell but the warranty and gap insurance will transfer and we did pay for both of them. You can't really include them in the selling price of the car but it could be a selling point.
I'm working on a website right now that will document our journey. Once I have it up (it'll be pretty bare until we actually leave) I'll give y'all a link.
