So the art show on Sunday was alright.
There was some decent stuff but a lot of crap. I guess it's what's to be expected in an open-call show, anyone can pretty much submit their "art." I don't mean to sound elitist or snobby, sorry, I really don't mean to sound that way, it's just....I figured the people that were waiting in line to submit their pieces to the show might have looked around and seen what other people were submitting, and might have realized that their piece....wasn't so hot.
A few awards were given to some, I think they should have just given awards designated to specific categories, best photograph, best print, sculpture, etc., oh well.
The turn out was good though, very crowded, and as soon as it hit 5pm they were literally shoving people out the door. That was kind of a bummer.
One piece in particular, well a few actually caught my eye, but there was a piece called Heart Balloon by Sarah Ferber it's on the homepage on her website, check it out. I really liked it, it was very dark and humorous. Another piece was titled Pied Piper, the object on the piece resembled Walt Disney, I'm still debating if he was the subject but it looked a lot like him, and Pied Piper is a Walt Disney film/short so I think it was him. The show is going to be up for a while so if you get a chance I recommend stopping by and looking at the stuff. The "adult section" is very....raunchy haha. Not really, I'm still wondering why they put some/most of that stuff in an "adult section", some of it really didn't fit. *scratching head*
Anyways, I'm still sick as can be and the phlegm is building. Sexy right
*hacking mucus cough* haha. 
No worries, hopefully I'll be in tip-top shape by the end of the week. Taking my vita-veta-vegimins.
