nice and rainy today..kind of a nice transition from waking up. i don't need to go to the window covering my eyes like the mutant mole man.

so, records that have graced the ol' turntable so far today:
ministry - twitch
ac/dc - powerage
pil - metal box/second edition
tubeway army - s/t
...and multiple listenings of tour de france and man machine by kraftwerk....

i was downloading some PiL a couple weeks back.. i was on a youth-nostalgia tip. it didn't bring me back to the way i used to feel. i was actually kinda bored by it.

'course.. i didn't ever hear the early stuff. i had the live from tokyo tape, this is what you want.. and something else. i don't think i've ever heard the Metal Box record.

damn, you've got some excellent musical taste! you have 'entertainment'?!?! i'm so jealous, isn't that out of print and impossible to find? i haven't seen it anywhere for under $30. i love your pic too, that's one of the freakiest parts of 'the shining'; that blowjob scene really fucked up my mind for good
apathy_activist:
mmm.. terraform. i loved that record when it came out. the first time i heard 'didn't we deserve a look at you...' i was hypnotized by it. once it was over, i just went back and started it again. didn't even listen to the rest of the record. two thoughts were running through my mind: "this is awsome." and "wow, is this ever going to piss people off."

y'know what also doesn't stand up? "sid and nancy."

watched it today in Music class. parts of it anyway, my professor, who's probably about the same age as I am, stopped it after about a fourty-five minutes and said, "you know, i haven't seen this film in a long time, and i remember it being a lot better."

all i could think of was how much i'd have rather been watching "the filth and the fury."

i'm out on saturday, but i'll be back sometime in the winter. keep reprasenting london. and if you know who i am, come up and say hello next time you're out. i'll probably be doing a good amount of cheer in december once december is here.

what does one do on a sunday besides watching football? the chicago bears are killing me. they suck, and i can't bring myself to watch them lose again. and when does pre-game coverage become excessive? is it after the third or fourth hour?

on another note, i hate "oi!" music..is this the music so shitty that it can't be called punk anymore? sing along choruses,...

I love your picture! When I was little and my frineds and I first say the Shining I saw this and was trying to convince them that it was someone in a furry costume with his face in a man's lap and noone believed me! That you have this picture up makes me really happy!

i love this time of year. just watched some lance henriksen movies.
pumpkinhead & mangler 2...

simply awesome.
phobos:
Pumpkin head is a damn good movie. Ever hear the Misfits song about it?
Now when you say Streetfighter is one of your favorite movies are you talking about the Raul Julia, Vandamm flick? cause if you are its cool to see someone else who appreciates it.

hey man, don't be supporting the canadian stereotypes, it just makes it worse.

i don't even have a favorite rush record... but, if i had to choose, it'd be the really short one.

jesus i'm sick..
almost nodded off in my car from drinking too much nyquil.
the traffic near toronto is insane..
i'm just waiting to pass out in my car, and awaken to james spader plugging my leg wound in a ditch somewhere..

s'okay. everyone's got it. just go home and get on your couch. stay there for a week. when the phone rings just pick it up and go, "uuunnnnggggghhhh....."

works every time. no one will reem you out when you moan into the phone.

i hate raking leaves
apathy_activist:
no.

i really wanted to go, but i have a lot of homework to catch up on. i've been sick for about a week and i really need to get back to speed. that, and i'm broke.

i haven't been to the office in a long time. usually when shows end early like that it's because it's on a weird night.. like tuesday or something. and often the bands coming into town will dictate the show times. i'm postive that the show last night wouldn't have ended until at least one. but probably later.

i'm going to kick myself for a while for missing it.
apathy_activist:
ARGH! i read today that the New Bomb Turks are going to stop touring after this record! they're not coming back. i missed it. dammit!!
