The last days have been pretty hectic as I continue roaming the couches and spare bedrooms of friends and family.
Sorry the postss have been private, but there are too many things to address right now that are...well...overwhelming.

I am returning to Amsterdam Monday to search for closure, an inevitable scene I have been unwilling yet to play out.
My sister has managed to put together some resources for me so I can feel a confident I won't have to face this transition alone.

Trying desperately to give HER the space she needs, perhaps we can deal with each other soon.

Thanks to all in LA - it has been special - hope to be home for cinco de meyo...or at least be posting from somewhere you least expect it...

Anyone ever been to Dar es Salaam?
trilobyte:
No Dar es Salaam for me, sadly I've done nowhere near the traveling I'd like to do. I hope the big meeting on Friday went well, and good luck with the closure as well as the trip in general. Softcore turned out to be a great little show, unfortunate that they followed some emo band that was totally unlike their sound. It would be nice sometime if local band promoters took a bit more time to be familiar with the acts they lined up. It ought to be that if you love and respect the music enough, it will all come together and you'll get the money. I think it's gotten twisted around so that they love and respect the money so much, and only occasionally does the music connect the way it should. Enough about my being sad about the state of the industry... have a great time at Coachella, and look forward to your next post (wherever it may come from)...

i used to have BIG dar es salaam plans. even put away some so i could sort out something there and stay awhile, maybe doing dreads, etc for the travellers while working with the locals in other ways.

have now kinda blown those plans out as the boy has no mind to go there and is stuck on his australia dream. not sure if australia could be my dream as well so may still go see it this summer when its at its worst to decide.

so when are you thinking of heading to d.e.s? need a travelling compadre...xxx
