Yeah...
Listen.
::looking around to make sure THEY aren't listening::
I keep spilling my heart out to that fuck - and for what?
Punishment - Reward - Punishment - Reward
Just like bad 'ol Nick said...
::taking another swig from the bottle::
When you take the time to lose yourself - really lose yourself, everything seems to snap into perspective. All the things you thought were important, well, usually they are so insignifigant it is hard to fathom why you wasted any time any precious energy and while you were succumbing to your own
::stops to wave away the Amsterdam junkie beggars selling stolen bikes::
fuck...
we choose what we are going to eat tonight.
people are feeding their children dirt so they will have something in their stomachs.
I feel so fucking selfish, talking about famine with the fucking expatriate pot smoking losers.
NOTHING is going to change - and there is NOTHING we can do about it?
FUCK THAT - I REFUSE TO ACCEPT THAT REALITY.
Listen.

Sorry - I didn't answer your question.
I came to the Netherlands to do Application and Human Interface Design for an Interactive Television project with Microsoft and UPC (the cable company in Amsterdam)...
Three years later I found myself alone and bitter in a three quaters of a million dollar house - and dot com boom - unemployed 6,000 miles away from "home".
So I have been doing a lot of soul searching and voulenteer work with kids and computers - which - the truth be told, is much more fun, and makes me feel better than the abusive entertainment work ever did.
The pay is better, though - so I am going back to the real world soon...
:: hopefully not too soon ::
