Sorry to hear about the fighting, and what is sounding like an inevitable course of action that can only bring more pain than what you're feeling now. But it'll be less pain than avoiding the decision(s) you know in your heart you have to make. I'll leave you with a snippet of some lyrics from Coldplay that sort of fit the place it sounds like you're in. There isn't much to tell about SXSW from my perspective, sadly. I flew out of Austin Thursday morning at the end of a week long trip. I'm not in the music business and was just visiting the girlfriend (who I am thrilled about, incidentally).
I do have some hearsay and celebrity gossip. The GF works for the festival every year and has been spending most of her time at the Film Mentors event, connecting aspiring filmmakers with industry pros for ten minute meetings. I'm going to try to be there next year, but purely as a spectator.
