Had to prep for a winter storm. People were shopping like the apocolypse was coming. I thought it was a bit much, but my mom pointed out that last year, we had an ice storm that wiped power to most of the state for over a week. I shopped smarter than most, I think, but then I've been camping in cold weather (not subfreezing), so I know how to get by. Bought candles, basic foods, and got one-a-day vitamins to fill the gaps. If power goes out for an extended period, I have books, my psp, my guitars, and I need to finish cleaning and rearranging my apartment.
I get off on survival situations. It's strategic thinking and problem solving and planning. That's my idea of fun.


Also: Obama's state of the union? Kicked ass. He called out the Republicans on the fact that they're being obstinate and contrary without offering better solutions. He said many bold and brilliant things and, as he is known for, he said them well. The fucker knows how to speak, like him or hate him. Let's see if he can pull them off though.
