I got a rare opportunity today. One of my favorite authors, Laurell K. Hamilton, launched a book tour for her new book here in Tulsa (of all places). I got to be at a Q and A with her and her husband as well as got some books signed and a picture with her. The pic is on my phone, but I can't email it to myself, so I'll have to see about getting it off of there.
She was the first celebrity I've ever gotten to meet, and she was so cool and casual and had a great sense of humor. She's also pretty damn good looking for an older lady.
