Eee! One of my best friends just asked if I could do her engagement photos. I'm not a pro or anything (though I've taken some cool shots before) but I'll work for free and it sounds like fun!
Where can I rent a camera? and get a crash course on how to use it? Hah.
Edit: I've been advised to get a Canon G11
But looking at the BestBuy site I could get an SX20 IS 12mp camera with 20x Optical zoom (as compared to G11's 5x) for less!. The G11 comes with 20x digital magnification where as the SX20 IS has 4x, which leads me to believe the G11 might be better for objects closer and the SX is not so much a good close up camera. Is that right?
The G11 has a rechargeable battery though, which I like. I suppose I can get rechargeable AAs too right?
