So I was talking to Margot_Dent the other day and we started talking about who our exes date after us.

I was saying I saw a picture of the new girl and she was super cute and I felt a bit better about that. I guess my thinking is that if he isn't with me anymore then it better be worth it. He better have found someone smarter and prettier. If she isn't prettier and smarter than how I see myself then it just makes me feel worse. If he left me and got with someone less than average, then I would feel like shit 'cause that means he left me because I was that bad of a person or girlfriend.

Whereas my friend was saying that she would want to know that she was the best they had and could ever have.

Upon further consideration, I think it actually depends on who the ex is. I think, for some exes, I would want them to upgrade, but for others... I definitely want them to know that they could never do better and they made a BIG mistake.

I mean, either way it's totally an ego thing but I guess it depends on your perspective and how you view your ex-partner.
