So a driver in Bev. Hills almost hits a bicyclist and then yells at her for acting like a vehicle and then the bicyclist gets yelled at? That fucking cop should take a refresher course because guess what asshole? BIKES CAN RIDE IN THAT LANE, YOU FUCKING DICK.
I hate that some people think bikes shouldn't be on the roads. The comments from people in that blog entry get me so pissed off. Why don't you fucking slow the fuck down? If you see a bike in your lane, you know they're fucking there, why don't you fucking change lanes if you don't want to be so close to them? Guess what else assholes? You're supposed to drive slower in construction zones!! Did you forget that one too?! Probably. If you're in a hurry it's your own stupid fucking fault for being late. Don't kill someone else because of it. Otherwise, what's your deal? I like to speed too but only on the freeway and/or when there's no one else around.
I think lately I've gotten more and more into the idea of walking and cycling. I also hate that there is this "us against them" mentality when it comes to issues of bike safety. It's not like you are either/or anyone who can drive is a driver, they can also ride bikes so they are cyclists. You are both so why is there this "Fuck bicyclists!" or "Fuck drivers!" shit?
GARH! It's one of those things that I know will never be resolved, like poverty and the declining state of the environment... thinking too much about it causes me to be incapable of doing anything else for the rest of the day.

that's incredible. i personally am afraid to ride my bike, despite the fact that we have great bike lanes here in Boulder.
