happy capitalistic consumerism day (or christmas for others)

i got my presset from the japanese government. i finally got my visa for japan.

although i was after three years they only gave me one. i guess that can't be helped. i don't have a job there and it's not hard to figure out that my family's not going to be living with me.

i guess the bureaucrats want to make sure they don't let scum into the country to run a muck and make things all crazy (not that this will ever stop me)

it is dramatically going to alter my plans though. i'm now only going to be able to take essentials over with me because i don't know if i'll be able to get a visa extension yet. and i don't know if i should go into renting an apartment or just living in a share house.

maybe i should just not worry about it at all and let it happen when i get into the country as usual.

looks like my brother and his better half have the night of my arrival off so they're going to take me out for food. going to be some good times ahead. (and loads of research into how i'd be able to stay in the country once i get there)
