i've started working on a new solo performance piece. this time i'm going to use the full recording of peter and the wolf by Sergei Prokofiev but manipulate the crap out of it.

i'm going to try and manipulate each instrument in accordance with the mood of the section and see what happens. the dark sections should sound much darker, the happy sections much happier and so forth.

when i started working on it last night it was nice and dark and suddenly the sun was shining outside. i'll now need to keep this flow of work going so that i have the piece ready by the end of the month to get a couple of performances in before i go away.

i also need to work on a new solo sax piece as well. now that i know how to control my laptop through foot pedals i'll be able to get a better system going. something that will fuck with my head as well as the audiences head (if they decide to turn up and listen to the music)

fucking hell, i'm starting to get bored sitting around here at home. i really need to get out of the house more and do shit. ah well, back to my music programing. just hope i don't fry my laptop with the processing. it seems to be struggling lately with the extra work load that i'm giving it...
