people are sensitive....and will find things offensive no matter what. If you are a guy messing around, more so. Post a pic of an asian girl, they can find a way to call it racism or a portrayal of "asian pride"...when all it really is the appreciation of good looking asian women. there's plenty of "sexual-themed-picture threads" out there, but because it has "asian women"...there's something to complain about. But what can you do? You can't please everyone or expect them to know about the basic intent and you can't expect everyone to understand your own point of view....nor have the same level of tolerance.
someone out there is always a critic with a cause....and I guess you can call them the FCC of SG..
I guess my level of tolerance is high because I've grown to appreciate things like Dave Chapelle, Mad TV, and stand up comedians of all ethnic background who understand the differences of their backgrounds....They make fun of all ethnic groups to the point where you understand why it's simply wrong.
They all know that there's a lil truth to each stereotype but so long as they seperate the individual from those stereotypes, it's not really about racism but a personal experience that influences their point of view that is tolerable. It's an aesthetic that helps show the differences in a way you can laugh at how people are just what they are....You can even admit, once in a while...that that point of view is sometimes true. Of course, not everything is about humour....appreciation of a good looking woman of another ethnic background is also a sensitive subject to some.
I don't know why, I'm asian and it only bothers me to hear other asian guys bitch about the "white men" stealing "their women"....like as if they were property. That's the only thing I can't tolerate...but to have certain preference in terms of eyes, bod, and hair color....is no more different than appreciating a french women for her eyes, bod, and brunette hair do. yeah, there's more to a person than that....which is why people will date and find out more about each other. Sure, there are plenty of guys out there looking to find a woman solely based on stereotypes, but what can you do with people that stupid? Nothing....because we all don't have a long enough life space to change everyone....but we can educate those that we do know, but that is the most we can do.

I remember starting a post-after-the-last-person-game thread a long time ago about "molesting a SG member".....and people took serious offense to it even though it wasn't suppose to be serious and I pointed that out along with it being inspired by another thread created successfully in another forum. They looked at it seriouslly and thought it was an actual intent to seriouslly molest someone. The thread was suppose to be taken as a joke but nope...not to them. Pervsion is serious business towards their level of tolerance and tolerating a "jerk off" thread is....oh so more tolerable. the hypocrisy is numbing....but I'm sure they don't notice when they are all wired a little bit tightly.
I guess I'm just too spoiled....I know way too many people who understand my way of thinking that the internet is nothing more than fun and games and when you try to make it more by over analyzing things with so little information....you are bound to suck the life out of it. alot of people use the internet to make real friends....and there's nothing wrong with that, but that doesn't mean you have to make everything else as real.
I was thinking b4 I joined SG, that the members would be mature enough to understand to know the difference between what is real and what is purely irrelevant....but immature enough to play along and have fun. But nope, there's a bunch of them who are overly mature and actually think they know what is best....well, their best.
