have an appointement with the canadian embassy in approx an hour, wish me luck.
see yas.
update: back home, they took my papers and I got an interview there in 2 hours... but anyway they told me if they give me my visa it will be on the 6 of september 1 day late of late registration in uni.
so have to defer it for a whole semester. its ok, it will give me more time to fix my appartement without studies annoying me on top of that.anyway wish me luck
.
update 2: back home from the internview, they told me they will send my papers to canada where they will take the decision. they will give me an answer in a few days.wish me luck.
update 3: the embassy called me today to go and check with them on monday. hope its good news. wish me luck.
PS: thanks for all the wishes dudes and dudettes
.
update 4: seems all the good wishes didn't do any good, I got refused the visa. why? because I was honest. what did I learn? lie, cheat and steal you will advance in life. Be honest and you get nothing. She refused me because I told her I am doing 2 years graduate studies in my current university and she saw it illogical that I restart everything from scratch there, even that I explained to her that my current university isnt recognized outside. she looked at it in the wrong way. Another thing I learned? never give women positions of power they will be very bitchy. Same with all embassies I went to, I love traveling alot and in all embassies whenever the visa officer is a woman she is all bitchy and refuses to give visas. Last year in the US embassy, I had a guy as visa officer, he gave me my visa in 2 mins and he was extremely friendly, joked around and funny. But the next window she was a woman, she all the time talking in a mean voice with people, she even refused an old lady who was going to see her son that she hasn't seen in years. Women and power...BIG MISTAKE.hmm one good thing that came out of this... my switch attitude is turned completely back to dominant now.

Canada is a great country, even if it is freezing cold in the winter. My fingers are crossed to wish you luck.

I hear you about women in power. I don't know why we turn into such bitches - maybe because we think we're supposed to be? Maybe because we think we need to be in order to compete with men? Maybe because we're not used to being in power and feel some sort of need to overcompensate? Whatever it is (and it may have something to do with the big shoulder pads in the 80's) it isn't right and I'm very sorry you were the victim of a woman in power. Grrr!!!! (Ok, all feminists may now come out and bash me). I don't think it is necessary for a woman to behave in such a way! It is not necessary nor is it appropriate and it certainly does nothing to further any "feminist" cause!!! So there and Ha! (Yes, I'm very passionate about this issue). Ladies, chill out. Kod, can you try again or appeal the process/decision? I'm sorry I was MIA with the wishing of luck, but I was simply MIA across the board. I'm still not quite all here - but when was I ever? ;o)
