thanks for trying to cheer me up guys... I am too lazy to answer one by one tongue. but thanks anyway.I will reply one by one when I am in a better mood.

now something is pissing me off like hell, today in beirut some "muslims" set the dannish embassy on fire because of some news paper's cartoons about the prophet mohammad.
okay the dannish newspaper did a bad thing I know... but frankly I dont blame them that much. because what they see from muslims is suicide bombs, crazy fundamentalist stuff, stupidity, and violence.
and the moderate muslims do nothing about it from fear. If I was dannish I would think that islam is all about violence because that's the only thing I see.
but ... instead of showing to the world that muslims can be civilized and rational. those fuckers go burn embassies for people that have nothing to do with the newspaper what's so ever.
IDIOTS, FUCKERS, I HOPE THEY ALL GET CASTRATED AND TORTURED FOR A FEW YEARS.
I dont want to be lebanese anymore. I dont want be an arab, I dont want to be muslim (even that I dont practice tongue). but this is damn shitty. they did exactly what civilized country expected from muslims, violence, and stupidity... way to go , thanks for making us loved by the rest of the world you fucking idiots, I hope you burn in hell.

UPDATE: guess what, from 166 people caught, 36 were lebaneses and the rest? 76 syrians, 29 palestenians, and the rest are bedouins.
bah....

I'm a peaceful protester and massive letter-writer/emailer/faxer. But all of that work - of hundreds of us - can be eclipsed if not publicly obliterated by the actions of a single screwball with a baseball bat. They associate themselves with our ideals, but they are not associated with us. People don't get that. The news does not care to help people to see that. "If it bleeds, it leads." *sigh*

You both know that I am a very emotional and passionate person, but that does not by any stretch mean that I am incapable applying logic to certain situations. In some ways, politics are all about emotion - but to be taken seriously as a dissenter, one must be clear, concise and dispassionate. How can the fact of this be so obvious to me yet never graze the minds of so many others? Some things do not have to be taught - do they?

Even from our earliest years we learn that certain situations call for certain kinds of behaviors and responses. Isn't it natural to continue to apply that basic understanding to the world at large? Maybe it's jut logical to do so. Maybe I'm on crack. I just don't understand - and yet I DO understand the passion that fuels such action! I understand the desire for immediate gratification. Swift justice. Retribution. We are human, after all. But that means we can think beyond the present as well.

Maybe if I understood how I balance it myself, I could come to an understanding of what might cause the imbalance? Personally I think the world needs a little more patience and a lot less greed. And Ill stick with John Lennon; these things would be much more easily accomplished with love.

Oh man. I totally feel the same way about the way Americans act, of course we're not burning down embassies (yet) but we've done so much other stupid shit on our own soil and abroad that it makes me want to embrace my dutch heritage and leave for the Netherlands. It's really sad when such a minority of people can ruin the positive image portrayed by the intelligent, moderate members of a country/society/whatever. There's not much you can do about the stupidity of other people, except hope they get caught or hope something terrible happens to them..at least, that's what i do..muahahaha.

good luck.
