Well I just finished a week on call for work, thank fuck thats over. Even when there's nothing on for it to interfere with, just the threat of looming interruption lurking over your shoulder preempts any spontaneity which might otherwise rescue you from being a house bound wet rag with nothing to do except watch star trek or try yet again to finish that tune which has been sitting unfinished for months, needing not even to be written but only the ending to be laid out.
